AQUA

Annual Queenstown Update in Anaesthesia

Social Programme

The scientific programme will be intertwined with an exciting social programme that will draw on the many opportunities offered by Queenstown during winter.

The meeting opens with Welcome Drinks on the evening of Thursday, 16 August. Following the morning lectures, transport by coach will be available to Coronet Peak ski field. On the evening of Friday, 17 August we are holding a BBQ on Coronet Peak itself. For those who wish, there will be the opportunity for night skiing.

The conference dinner on Saturday, 18 August will be held at Prime Restaurant in Queenstown. Before dinner, delegates will be able to enjoy tasting a selection of local wines. After dinner has been served, we will be screening the final of the Bledisloe Cup live from Brisbane. Importantly, this is the final match the All Blacks will play before the start of the Rugby World Cup.

Queenstown offers numerous attractions. For those who do not wish to journey to Coronet Peak, here is a (by no means exhaustive) list of alterative activities. These can be arranged directly with the operator. Alternatively, the concierge at the conference venue (Millennium Hotel Queenstown) can assist you.
